THINQ ABOUT LEARNING: TRAININGNET ADOPTS NEW NAME TO REFLECT EVER-GROWING SCOPE OF CUSTOMER AND PROVIDER SERVICES
Newly named THINQ adds new corporate learning consulting and training provider services and launches a new version of its RFP Exchange
BILLERICA, Mass., June 26, 2000 TrainingNet today changed its name to THINQ to highlight its growth beyond a training marketplace into the world's leading one-stop source for streamlined learning solutions. In addition to the 3,000 training providers available through the THINQ Learning Marketplace, THINQ now offers a more complete spectrum of learning services that include learning consulting, provider technology products and services and the latest release of THINQ RFP Exchange. Today, more than 45 corporate clients and 50 strategic partners are using THINQ learning services to achieve business success.
The new version of THINQ's RFP Exchange service features 50 new enhancements to make the service faster and more user friendly. More than 300 corporate customers have signed up as RFP Exchange members. Of those, 54 percent have already successfully used the service. THINQ RFP Exchange lets companies submit secure, anonymous online request for proposals to find training providers that can fulfill their custom and onsite learning needs. New features include a better interface, ease of use enhancements and new registration functionality. Corporate THINQ RFP Exchange customers can access double the number of learning categories, and both THINQ RFP Exchange customers and providers can utilize consulting services to help them respond to proposals.
Complementing RFP Exchange in THINQ's growing array of offerings are its Learning Consulting services, which the company added in May. Corporate customers can use THINQ Learning Consulting to map out learning strategies and establish core curricula targeted at specific learning deficiencies and aligned with organizational objectives. Once they identify their learning needs, companies can access and buy learning from providers in the U.S. and U.K. through the THINQ Learning Marketplace and THINQ RFP Exchange.
"The key to building and maintaining a successful and knowledgeable workforce is having instant access to the right learning solutions," said Nina Rock, vice president human resources at GenRad, Inc. "With THINQ, we can work with learning consultants to tailor learning solutions to our specific organizational objectives, then find and buy resources that match our goals from the THINQ Learning Marketplace. THINQ combines high-tech with high-touch to offer the most complete and easily implemented corporate learning solution available."
THINQ Provider Technologies helps learning providers streamline business processes >
In addition to enhancing its customer-oriented services, THINQ has also expanded and improved its services for learning providers who offer their products and services through the THINQ Learning Marketplace. THINQ's new Provider Technologies group offers software (ASP and ERP) solutions that help learning providers better manage the day-to-day operations of their business and integrate more seamlessly with THINQ, enhancing the overall value to THINQ customers. Through THINQ Provider Technologies, training providers can buy software or subscription-based technology offering the following key benefits: real-time management of registrations and inventory, simplified scheduling of instructors and facilities, comprehensive bill and payment processing and collection and management of evaluation data.
"The announcement of our new name is a significant milestone for our company - not only reflective of our growth, but our commitment to innovation, leadership and execution," said THINQ President and CEO Hemang Dave. "To date, THINQ has solidified more than 50 strategic partnerships and 45 corporate customers. And over the past 16 months, we have listened closely to feedback from customers and continue to grow our company and offerings to meet their needs: a one source learning solution that wraps layers of value around a comprehensive marketplace."
